Girls Night IN:)

We had such a blast last night! Dave went away on Thursday to take a few of the guys from our youth group to a concert in Montreal & he will be back today....so I thought it was a great opportunity to invite the girls over for a "Girl's Night In". One thing I prayed for when we moved here was that God would give me amazing Godly friends to share life with, & He truly has! Moving to a new place I knew I had my best friend (Dave) with me...but every girl needs friends that are girls too...& I do but they are spread out all over the United States. But God has given me great friends here too & I feel very blessed to share life with these girls.

Each of the girls brought YUMMY food to share with the rest of us...we ended up with a great spread of food! This picture isn't even all the food we had:)

We had a blast talking & eating, but we also cracked up at each other as we played Guesstures...
And Moods...
Fun, Fun...& today I'm sooo excited, my husband is coming home & MY SISTERS are coming to visit me!!!! Can't wait!

Three Birthday Cakes!!

Well today we celebrated my 27th Birthday! What a great day! I had a nice relaxing day, first I slept in, then Dave highlighted my hair for me!! (Yes, he does know how to do that!) Next,Dave took me out to a really cool restaurant in Saint John for lunch called "Jungle Jims". After lunch, Dave took me shopping @ Old Navy for some new clothes for my Birthday. Very fun, plus I have been getting calls & emails all day from family and new & old friends, wishing me a Happy Birthday. What a great day, like I said to Melanie earlier today, everyone should have a Birthday!! (hehehe)

I got spoiled with 3 Birthday cakes!! First, on Monday @ my small group two of my friends, Andrea & Melanie both brought me cakes!


Then Dave surprised me today with an ice cream cake! YUMMY:)

Jr. High Booster

This past weekend was Jr. High Booster Weekend @ Bethany Bible college. Dave & I didn't find out about it till last minute, but I still got the opportunity to bring 3 girls from our Jr. High group. We had a blast, being silly & crazy girls!:)

On Saturday the JR Highers & Bethany Students got to go skiing @ Poly. I decided to pass for the day, but the girls had a BLAST on the bunny hill!! It was Hannah & Jessica's first time skiing, & they did a great job!!

The theme of the Booster weekend was iBelieve...it was awesome to see the girls sign the posters when asked if they truly believed that God could use them. Love yah girls!:)

Skiing @ Poly Mountain

Last week was March Break for our students @ KV Youth so we took advantage of that and took the youth group skiing @ Poly Mountain. There was about 20 brave students & sponcers who made it out for the day. We all had a blast and it was a beautiful day!

Paris & Pink: Girls Night Lock In 2007

Welcome to Paris & Pink 2007!!!

What a blast!! This was the 5th year for Kings Valley's annual Girl's Night Lock In for our middle school female students. Two mothers from our church (Christie & Tracie) usually head up this event...this year I got to join that leadership team, so it was the three of us and LOTS of amazing volunteers that made the night such a huge success. The theme was "Paris & Pink"! We had over 170 girls at the event and it was soo much fun! When the girls first arrived and registered they each received a "Paris & Pink Passport" in which they had to get stamped at each of the vender's through out the evening. We started the evening with each of the girls entering Paris & Pink on our run way...The girls LOVED the runway, and I was sooo excited how it all turned out. This year my responsibilities was advertisement and decorations. And when Kings Valley does decorations, we go BIG! I got my creative juices running and I loved how all the decorations turned out! After all the girls entered Paris & Pink via the run way they were able to roam to all the vender's...who provided opportunities for the girls to get their nails, hair and make up done....they could get fake tattoos, make a purse, make earrings, be served at our bistro or cafe', get a facial from a Mary Kay representative, get their picture taken with a friend, or just have a blast walking around the room or up and down the runway. Later in the evening we had a concert by "Three Season Ant", a talent show hosted by Dave...I got a chance to share with the girls about how to be beautiful from the inside out...there was two movies shown...and that about summed up the all niter. Overall it went very smoothly with no drama. Looking forward to next years lock in...our theme will be "Hawaii".
